Berlin Water Hackathon 2021 – Programme and Challenges
The Berlin Water Hackathon 2021 – Creating Sustainable Water Systems with Open Data is almost here!
We are happy to announce our programme schedule (see below) full of inspiring speakers from the various fields of academia and practice. After three days of exploring urban water from multiple perspectives, participants of the online event will team up and challenge themselves in the 2-day hackathon. Students and professionals from data scientists to urban planners have registered to join us from Berlin and beyond.
You can also download a PDF with the programme and a detailed description of the challenges.
Challenges
Teams can choose to work on and come up with answers to one of the three main challenge questions:
- Challenge I – How to engage citizens in the management of urban green by digital means?
- Challenge II – How to create a distributed rainwater collection network in Berlin?
- Challenge III – How to tangibly offer insights into the status of Berlin’s water system in quasi real-time through a mobile application?
